The Green Button Can Help You Take Control of Your Energy Usage
The Green Button was created in response to a challenge issued by the White House to give people timely access to their energy data. This feature lets you download up to 13 months of electricity use and work with an app so you can see trends and then save money.
To get the most out of your data, you’ll need to authorize third-party use. Go to Green Button Connect My Data log on to the online service center in My Account. It’s the same place where you pay your bill, get your forecasted bill for the month and analyze your energy use.

SDG&E Solar Pricing Plans
When you submit your application, you’ll be able to select an electricity pricing plan. If you don’t select a pricing plan, we automatically enroll you into a Time-of-Use plan, but you can switch to another plan at any time. It’s important to consider any planned or possible changes that will affect your future energy usage, like buying an electric car, as it will influence which plan is best for you.
Need Help Deciding? Log in to My Account for online tools and resources to help you make an informed decision based on your specific energy goals and habits.
No matter which plan you elect to use, be sure to sign up for energy alerts to avoid any surprises.

Generating Maximum Savings
To keep your solar or other renewable system operating at its best, be sure to keep up with basic maintenance. Solar panels in particular require very little upkeep, but occasional cleanings and checkups will maximize your savings.
Watch Your Usage
You can track your energy generation and use in MyAccount. While seasonal fluctuations are to be expected — your Solar system’s output will natural go down in the winter when there are fewer daylight hours — a professional may be able to diagnose a non-seasonal drop.
Annual Checkups
Solar panels work best when they’re clean and free of debris. Schedule an annual inspection and cleaning, if needed, with a solar professional to make sure your panels are operating at full capacity. Check with your installer to see if your package includes maintenance.
