Start, Stop, or Transfer Your Service

Moving made easy. Let us help with these convenient options for making sure you have service, where and when you need it, or turning off service if you don’t.

Use My Account

If you are an existing customer, use My Account. Simply log in to start, stop or transfer service.

New Customers

If you are new to SDG&E and need to start service at your new address, use Start Service online.

Guest Options

If you are using guest options, you may need provide the following information:

  • Customer name exactly as shown on your monthly billing statement
  • Last 4 digits of the social security number for the primary account holder, or, if you are a business, a Federal Tax Identification Number
  •  Email address or phone number on file

Guest Start Service 

If you do not use My Account but need to start service, use Start Service online.

Guest Stop Service

If you do not use My Account but need to start service, use Stop Service online.
