Limited EV Purchase Credit

If you like saving money with your EV, you’ll love your EV credit. EV Drivers who’ve recently purchased or leased an electric vehicle, or are considering to buy/lease one soon, may qualify for a special, limited-time offer.

EV Credit

SDG&E will be issuing a credit for EV drivers who meet the following requirements:

Purchase/Lease Time Frame

You purchased or leased an EV between March 1, 2019, and November 16, 2020. Your purchase/lease does not qualify if you already received the 2019 SDG&E Electric Vehicle Climate Credit for that vehicle. **The application period ended on November 30, 2020.**

EV Documentation

You will need to show that your vehicle is a plug-in electric vehicle registered in the state of California. The proof of vehicle eligibility (VIN number) will be required during the application process.

Resident within SDG&E Service Area

You do not need to be an SDG&E customer, but you must live in SDG&E's service territory, which covers both San Diego and southern Orange Counties.
