Customer Load Profiles
IMPORTANT: Notice of time change for SDG&E Dynamic Load Profiles
Beginning on April 4, 1999, at 1 AM, SDG&E will post Dynamic Load Profiles (DLPs) in Pacific Standard Time (PST). SDG&E recommends that you make any necessary changes to your systems now in advance of this time change for posting DLPs.
SDG&E currently posts its DLPs to its Website in Daylight Savings Time, which is consistent with PX prices. SDG&E will also provide notice of this change on its Website. Questions regarding this change in time format can be addressed to Leslie Willoughby at [email protected].
Load Profiles
SDG&E's Static Load Profiles (SLP) were developed using three years of load research interval metering of SDG&E's different customer classes. Eight different SLPs have been developed which encompass all of SDG&E's Electric Tariffs. SDG&E's SLPs must be used to convert monthly meter data for non-hourly metered customers into hourly values. SDG&E's SLPs are scheduled to be replaced with SDG&E's Dynamic Load Profiles (DLP) July 1, 1998.
Energy Service Providers (ESP) must report all meter data for their Direct Access (DA) customers to their Scheduling Coordinator, for submission to the ISO. SDG&E will report the actual meter data for its bundled customers to its SC, the PX. Information on the reporting of actual meter data is available from the PX's website at www.calpx.com/download or the ISO's website at www.caiso.com.
All meter data must be reported on a hourly basis, and adjusted to ISO grid level equivalent values, using the DLFs based on the serving voltage level. Meter data for Direct Access customers in SDG&E's service area who do not have hourly metering, must be converted into hourly values using SDG&E's SLPs. The correct SLP to use is determined by the customer's SDG& electric rate tariff. Upon request, SDG&E will provide the electric rate tariff for each DA customer the ESP or its Scheduling Coordinator represents.
