Interconnection With SDG&E-Owned Electric Transmission Facilities
SDG&E Interconnection Handbook
The SDG&E Interconnection Handbook is applicable to all generators and loads interconnecting to the SDG&E transmission system that are not otherwise subject to SDG&E Rule 21.
It describes technical and operational requirements for wholesale generators and loads connected to the SDG&E portion of the ISO Controlled Grid, and as such the handbook may be modified or superseded from time to time.
SDG&E's standards contained in the Interconnection Handbook are deemed consistent with Good Utility Practice and Applicable Reliability Standards. The SDG&E Interconnection Handbook includes:
- Metering Requirements
- Protection and Control Requirements
- General Operating Requirements
- Operating Procedures
- Energization and Synchronization Requirements
