How to Submit a Six‑Month Notice for Direct Access (DA)
Follow the steps below to complete your Direct Access (DA) Six‑Month Notice submission.
Important: SDG&E does not guarantee the receipt of any submission. Submitters are responsible for ensuring all requirements are met.
STEP 1: Complete Required SDG&E Forms
Before submitting, ensure all required forms and documentation are complete.
Required for All Submissions

Complete one Six‑Month Notice form per customer of record.
- All SDG&E service accounts listed must:
- Belong to the same customer, and
- Be under the same Federal Tax ID (FTI) or SDG&E customer identifier.

If submitting two (2) or more service accounts, include a required Excel spreadsheet.
If a Third Party Is Acting on the Customer’s Behalf

A Customer Information Sharing Request / Letter of Authorization (CISR/LOA) is required unless the exception below applies.
EXCEPTION: A CISR/LOA is not required if the Six‑Month Notice is signed by the customer AND the customer is copied on the DA lottery submission email.

CISR/LOAs must be submitted through the Consent to Share Portal:
- Submit a unique CISR/LOA for each customer.
- To avoid delays, submit CISR/LOAs before the enrollment period.
- After submitting a CISR/LOA, notify SDG&E at [email protected].
STEP 2: Submit Your DA Lottery Entry
Six‑Month Notices are accepted only during the official submission window:
- June 8, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PDT through
- June 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. PDT
Eligible load applies to the period January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027.
Submit Using One Method Only

For email submissions, include the following in the subject line:
- Customer name (as shown on the SDG&E bill)
- “Six‑Month Notice”
- Submitter name
- Number of service accounts
Submit only one Six‑Month Notice form per email or fax and include all email addresses that should receive Wait List notifications.
STEP 3: What to Expect After Submission
- Email submissions will receive an automatic receipt confirmation.
- Duplicate, incomplete, or conflicting submissions may be rejected.
- SDG&E will notify submitters of any deficiencies.
- Deficiencies must be corrected within five (5) business days.
- By July 27, 2026, SDG&E will complete review and assign a random lottery number to eligible submissions.
- By August 14, 2026, customers will be notified of their waitlist acceptance.
Accepted notices will be processed in accordance with SDG&E Rule 25 and Rule 25.1.
SDG&E will continue accepting Six‑Month Notices until the Total DA Load Allowance of 3,942 GWh is reached.
Withdrawal or Cancellation
Requests to withdraw or cancel must be submitted within three (3) business days of SDG&E’s receipt of the Six‑Month Notice.
