Save Time and Money with the Renewable Meter Adapter for Your Solar System.

The renewable meter adapter (RMA) is a quick and easy way to start enjoying the benefits of your rooftop solar or other residential PV system. The RMA simplifies the interconnection process, enabling you to earn bill credits by making any excess energy you generate available for other customers to use–all without the need for costly, labor-intensive upgrades. The cost for the RMA is $1,326, making it a cost-effective solution for your interconnection needs.

The Main Benefits of Choosing an RMA

  • Avoid expensive electrical upgrades

  • Have it installed in as little as one hour

  • Save space in your service panel

  • Contractors won’t need to enter your service panel, enabling a safer interconnection

  • The RMA doesn’t alter your property or require additional common upgrade service repairs, like stucco repair, landscaping, or painting

  • Safer than other options as the RMA contains a main breaker for overcurrent protection

  • SDG&E will install, operate, and maintain the RMA throughout the life of the device
