Electric Generation
Your Community Choice Aggregator purchases or generates your electricity.
Electric Generation is the charge for electricity used in your home or business. Your electricity is bought or generated by your Community Choice Aggregator (CCA). The Electric Generation charge from your CCA is included on your SDG&E bill.
Two CCA providers serve customers within SDG&E’s service territory: Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) and San Diego Community Power (SDCP). Your CCA is listed under Electric Generation in My Account and the mobile app.

Electric Delivery
SDG&E delivers electricity to power your home or business.
Electric Delivery is the charge for delivering electricity to your location. This charge also includes billing, customer care services and maintaining and modernizing infrastructure.

State, Taxes & Other
Charges required by city, state and public program agencies.
State, Taxes and Other charges are collected by SDG&E on behalf of the local and state government, including taxes, city franchise fees and state-mandated public purpose programs like wildfire fund and energy efficiency programs.
