Their short, fixed routes and low average speeds are an ideal operational model for transitioning to an electric vehicle (EV) fleet. Shuttle bus fleets moving towards electrification can reduce maintenance and operational costs, thereby lowering total cost of ownership (TCO) and improving their bottom line.
Total Cost of Ownership Analysis for Shuttle Fleets
The below graph provides a sample TCO analysis of a 20-vehicle fleet: Class 3 diesel shuttle van versus a Class 3 electric shuttle van. In this example, the fleet has an opportunity to save up to 41% by operating an electric vehicle.

- Demonstrate commitment to procure a minimum of 2 electric fleet vehicles
