For some communities, socio-economic burdens and the related impacts of poor air quality are an unfortunate reality of daily life. With the adoption of electric vehicles, fleets in disadvantaged communities can improve air quality by eliminating tailpipe emissions and reduce their operating costs.

SDG&E’s Power Your Drive por la  Flotas  program can help these fleets cost-effectively install the necessary charging infrastructure needed to electrify their medium- and heavy-duty vehicles, improving their bottom line and helping to improve local air quality.

Are You Located in A Disadvantaged Community?

A través de los Dale potencia a tu unidad por la  Flotas program, SDG&E offers specific incentives to fleets operating in state-defined Disadvantaged Communities (DAC), depicted in the map below.

SDG&E can help you determine if your fleet is located in one of these territories and if you subsequently qualify for additional program incentives.

The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), released the California Communities Environmental Health Screening Tool (CalEnviroScreen). CalEnviroScreen identifies California communities by census tracts that are disproportionately burdened by, and vulnerable to, multiple sources of pollution.

Mejorar el costo total de propiedad

Fleets operating in disadvantaged communities (DACs) not only need to keep tight restraints on overall total cost of ownership (TCO), but they also have a responsibility to their community to improve the quality of the air they share. By transitioning to one of the many new electric vehicles (EVs) available today, these fleets can reduce TCO with lowered maintenance costs and incentives to electrify, as well as improve air quality by eliminating tailpipe emissions.
