Community Impact
That Goes Beyond Energy

For more than 140 years, our story has been rooted in service – not just to our customers, but to the communities in which we proudly serve and live. Our impact is powered by the passion of our employees and our continued collaboration with local nonprofits.

Our Commitment

We believe that when we invest in our communities, we help power more than homes and businesses; we power people, possibilities and progress.

Measurable Community Impact

Across our funding areas, we support programs that build environmental equity, expand career pathways in public safety and STEM and enhance the resilience of local businesses and educational institutions.

 Empowering Tomorrow’s Workforce

Competitive Edge is a six-week paid program that prepares young adults for careers in utilities and skilled trades through hands-on experience.

Building Bridges through Mentorship

SDG&E’s #BeThatGirl program partners with youth‑serving organizations to inspire students of all backgrounds to explore STEM careers.

Safety Comes First

We support public safety programs that encourage emergency preparedness and response planning.

Growing Greener Communities

We collaborate with environmental organizations to revitalize community spaces and promote climate education.

Making the Holidays Brighter

During SDGivE, our annual  volunteer holiday program, employees lead projects that strengthen communities.
