Our employees support hundreds of causes in the community, working with local organizations that matter most to them and their loved ones.
SDG&E takes pride in giving back to the communities where our employees live and work.
From our Environmental All Stars program to our long-standing holiday program known as SDGivE, we encourage SDG&E employees to participate in our many volunteer events.
SDGE’s community volunteer efforts include the following:
- 10,000 total Team SDG&E hours at volunteer projects
- 3,497 total Team SDG&E volunteers
- 45 SDGivE employee-led holiday volunteer projects with 52 local nonprofits
SDG&E Partners to Preserve Local Environment for Future Generations
SDG&E employees regularly volunteer their time for various projects in our local communities, which range from restoring habitats for endangered species to building school gardens and installing solar panels for low-income residents.
For over 20 years, hundreds of Team Sempra/SDG&E volunteers participated in the state’s largest volunteer event of the year: I Love A Clean San Diego’s Annual Coastal Cleanup Day. Our employees have completed multiple projects at local parks, canyons, creeks and beaches across our service territory.
