Trade Professional Alliance Levels
As of this year, there are two tiers of Trade Professionals. Those with a Contractors State License Board (CSLB) license are in Tier One. Learn more about obtaining a CSLB on cslb.ca.gov. Tier One contractors can apply for and receive payment on Rebate, Incentive and On-Bill Financing projects. Tier Two Trade Professionals do not have a CSLB license and are not able to receive payment on behalf of their customers. Both tiers receive:
- Listing in the SDG&E online Trade Professional Directory
- Notification of program updates
- Bi-monthly SDG&E Trade Professional e-newsletter
- Free seminars and training
Trade Professionals who do not hold a CSLB license may still participate as a Project Sponsor who can:
- Submit projects on the customer’s behalf
- Obtain project status updates via email or phone
- Be listed on the project application as the Project Sponsor (but are not eligible to receive rebates and incentives on the customer’s behalf)
Trade Professionals with a valid CSLB license may do the same as above but ARE eligible to receive rebates and incentives on behalf of customers.
Trade Professional Agreements
The 2017 Trade Professional Participation Agreements are available online and required of all Trade Professionals this year, whether you participated in the past or not. Visit sdge.com/tradepro for more information on requirements.

Energy Management Systems
Join us and learn about SDG&E’s Technology Incentive Program. This free training will help you understand the incentives and requirements to purchase an Automated Energy Management System (EMS). Implementing a customized, automated EMS allows your customers to use a pre-programmed load reduction plan.
We can help you educate your customers on how to maximize savings year-round, not just on Demand Response days, by purchasing and installing an EMS system. Your customer will appreciate learning how to monitor and control their energy use and costs, and optimize the way they use electricity.
You or your customer can learn more by attending one of SDG&E’s Technology Incentives training classes. This introductory level course covers the basic concepts and related benefits of Energy Management Systems (EMS), Automated Demand Response (ADR) and SDG&E’s Technology Incentive (TI) Program.
