Our building design, construction, and performance classes can help you effectively apply whole building concepts, zero net energy strategies, energy efficiency solutions and building science principles from the California State Licensing Board (CSLB).

Home performance 

Our Home Performance classes are designed to teach residential contractors how to complete energy efficiency upgrades. Classes focus on a variety of topics such as air sealing, HVAC, energy modeling, whole house concepts, and more.

 

Rebate and incentive programs

Our utility rebate and incentive program classes give you the knowledge and tools you need to effectively understand and submit energy-efficiency projects for rebates and incentives.

 

Lighting

You'll learn best practices using technologies and strategies that promote energy efficiency without sacrificing quality. Topics for all skill levels include include energy-efficient strategies, emerging technologies, code compliance, and more.

 

Marketing, finance, and sales

These classes will provide you with the knowledge and tools to effectively sell energy-efficiency products and solutions to your customers. Classes also focus on financing options for submitting energy-efficiency projects.

 

Renewable energy and sustainability

Our renewable energy and sustainability classes provide the latest information and trends in green building practices, LEED, renewable energy technologies, solar water heating and the US Green Building Council (USGBC).

 

Codes and standards 

Our interactive codes and standards classes discuss key energy code measures and audiences. These classes are designed to help you understand building energy efficiency standards for new construction, additions, and alterations. Also learn about 2019 code and Title 24.

Food service

Learn from industry professionals about energy-efficient cooking equipment, lighting, food safety, waste management, and much more. Some classes provide industry accreditation.

 

HVAC systems and technology 

Learn about HVAC systems in commercial and residential buildings and how to make them function effectively. Training includes: Basic A/C and heating theory, controls, schematics, and code compliance. You’ll also get information about qualifying for HVAC certifications.
