The Planning Process and Choosing the Site

Whenever trees are planted, it is critical to invest the necessary time in planning the project and choosing the planting areas.

Any design project that involves planting trees should include the following phases:

Conceptual

Take a walk through. Discuss planting options. Include individuals who will be impacted by the project.

Design

Draw planting plans out and determine which locations and species will be best for all involved. Include overhead and underground utility facilities in plan drawings.

Pre-construction

Hold a meeting to discuss the planting design.

Construction
