The County of San Diego Aging and Independence Services (AIS) has established a network of Cool Zone sites to provide a location for older adults and persons with disabilities to escape extreme summer heat.
Cool Zone sites are designated, air-conditioned public buildings, identified by the Cool Zone logo.
These facilities welcome senior citizens and persons with disabilities, who otherwise may be at risk to exposure to excessive heat, and heat related illnesses.
