Policy Updates

Benchmarking Requirement for SDG&E EE Programs - July 12, 2012

Effective immediately, the benchmarking requirement currently in place has been removed. Applications to SDG&E’s Energy Efficiency rebate or incentive programs will no longer require submission of a benchmark score or benchmarking application supplemental waiver.

Updates to the website and our Benchmarking collateral are in process.

On-Bill Financing - July 12, 2012

Effectively immediately, On-Bill Financing will no longer require payments be sent to a licensed contractor.  However, all installations must be performed by a California State Licensed Contractor. This process will allow payments to be sent to project managers and equipment vendors who work directly with customers.

Please note the On-Bill Financing Customer/Contractor Handbook and On-Bill Financing Application will be updated next week to reflect these requirements.  Please be sure to visit the On-Bill Financing webpage on a regular basis for the latest version of applications and other program material.

Energy Efficiency Release of Information - July 27, 2012

If the CPUC requests review of your project, SDG&E will provide the CPUC with all of the information requested without further notification to you. If you refuse to allow the CPUC, its staff or its contractors and/or consultants to have access to your data, you will not be allowed to participate, and you will be ineligible to receive any program incentives. Please note that if you designated a project sponsor, a similar notification has been forwarded to them as well. In the event your project is selected for review, SDG&E will mark your data as confidential before submitting your files to the CPUC in accordance with California Public Utilities Code Section 583 and CPUC General Order 66-C.
