As part of the SDG&E Safe San Diego Initiative, SDG&E is partnering with the Burn Institute to offer residents pre-planning ideas outlining steps people can take to prepare home and family to survive a wildfire.
The Fire Safe Kids Program/Poster Contest was launched with the help of SDG&E. This fun, interactive program teaches kids about fire and burn prevention.
Components of the program address the importance of how to recognize fire hazards in the home, a home escape plan and how to create one; scald prevention and kitchen safety. For more information on the Burn Institute’s Fire Safe Kid Program visit www.firesafekid.org.
