‘Solar Ready’ New Construction Design teams are encouraged to make projects “solar ready” by including a solar energy system in the design so the owner can install solar either now or in the future.
Renewable generation options are considered and customers work together with SDG&E to design and site utility-owned photovoltaic systems which are part of the electric distribution system and are interconnected to the utility side of the meter, thus providing clean energy to the San Diego region.
