Hunter Industries, A 2008 Energy Showcase winner
SDG&E offers programs and services that encourage sustainable building efforts in the community.
Many of these projects exemplify leadership in their communities by building green, producing their own power and even putting power back on the grid.
Hunter Industries
A 2008 SDG&E Energy Showcase winner, and Sustainable Communities program participant, Hunter Industries, demonstrates their commitment to green energy and sustainable design with their two rooftop solar power systems.
- An 86-kilowatt (kW) system is owned and operated by Hunter and supplies 100% of the electricity to support lighting for the entire 139,270 square foot building
- A 102-kilowatt (kW) system is owned and operated by SDG&E putting energy back on to the grid for use by the entire community.
