In our service territory, CSI is administered through the California Center for Sustainable Energy.
Producing your own power requires interconnection with the SDG&E distribution system. The first step in this process is to request a Self-Generation Interconnection Package.
Self-generation technologies include solar electric, wind turbines, fuel cells, micro turbines, small gas turbines, hydroelectric, and internal combustion engines.
They can be installed on the customer’s side of the utility meter and provide electricity for the entire or a portion of that customer’s electric load.
We provides incentives and technical assistance for builders and design teams to build green, including utilizing solar technology.
