Since almost all natural gas currently consumed in the U.S. is also produced in North America, natural gas vehicles (NGVs) help reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

Everyday, we deliver clean-burning 29,057 therms of natural gas, which is equivalent to 23,246 gallons of gasoline, to vehicle fleets throughout the area. This results in 206,305 lbs. reduction in greenhouse gases.

Drive with Clean Fuel

Natural gas is one of the cleanest, least polluting fossil fuels.

Vehicles powered by natural gas offer substantial advantages over vehicles powered by gasoline.

Advantages Of Natural Gas Vehicles

  • Costs less than traditional fuels such as gasoline or diesel
  • Are some of the cleanest available vehicles on the road
  • Produce 20%-30% less greenhouse gases than gasoline or diesel powered vehicles

Economical compressed natural gas (CNG) powered vehicles--or natural gas vehicles (NGVs)--can have an immediate and positive impact on the issues of air quality, U.S. energy security and public health.

As the owner of a dedicated natural gas vehicle, you may be entitled to use High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV or carpool) lanes, even if you are a solo driver!
