What’s the most interesting thing about your job?

I work with customers and gas suppliers from all across the United States.

What’s the most common misconception you think people have about working for a utility company?

In the beginning, customers may think that of us as a large corporation but when they interact with the employees, they understand that we're a  large corporation made up of their neighbors, community members and loved ones.

Tell us how you’re ‘connected’… to our customers, to our communities or to the environment.

I'm connected to our customers and communities through running.  I supported one of our customers by helping them pass out oranges, water and pretzels at the Carlsbad Marathon.  I supported the Safari Park by fundraising for my half marathon with all proceeds going to the new Tiger exhibit.  Sempra  Energy, our parent company, matched all employee donations which was great.
