We are working with the Center City Development Corporation (CCDC) to develop the Centre City Lighting Master Plan. The plan will create specific exterior lighting criteria that emphasize energy efficiency, and the reduction of light pollution and glare. The criteria are intended to be developed as “model code,” which can be used in other urban areas within California. The plan will also be used during design review of new and existing buildings in the downtown Centre City Project Area.

San Diego Association of Governments

The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) and SDG&E are partnering to take advantage of SANDAG’s role as the regional planning organization to provide outreach, planning and technical assistance to its member agencies on energy and climate change. 

SANDAG, in coordination with SDG&E, will develop comprehensive “Energy Road Maps” for all of its participating member agencies to address energy efficiency, renewable energy, and carbon dioxide emissions among other sustainability measures for municipal buildings as well as transportation and land use decisions.
