Participating in online bill pay is free. However, some financial institutions may charge a fee for electronic fund transfers. Please check with your bank or credit union about any applicable fees. For additional details please visit the My Account details page.

BillMatrix

You can use most ATM cards, debit cards, MasterCard® and Visa® credit cards and electronic checks to pay your bill. These payment options are offered through BillMatrix.* BillMatrix is an independent service provider.

(Debit and ATM bank cards must participate in STAR point-of-sale, PULSE, NYCE or ACCEL networks)

Make Payment Online

  • Visit the BillMatrix Web site.
  • BillMatrix charges a convenience fee of $1.50 for each payment transaction.

Make Credit Card Payment by Phone

  • Call BillMatrix’s automated system at 1-800-386-0067.
  • You can make a phone payment in English or Spanish at any time.
  • BillMatrix charges a convenience fee of $1.50 for each payment transaction.
  • There is a $1,000 amount limit for each payment transaction.

  • Level Your Payments Every Month - If you want a more predictable energy bill, Level Pay may be the answer. With Level Pay you can level out the highs and lows of your monthly bills, helping make your energy bill more stable.
  • SDG&E Pay-By-Phone - SDG&E Pay-by-Phone lets you to pay your bill over the telephone by authorizing a deduction from your checking account. You control when the payment is made by calling 1-800-619-7343. It's quick and simple to use, and best of all, it's FREE.
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for Business Customers - Sign up for this service to get billing information electronically and make payments by electronic funds transfer directly from your bank or financial institution.
  • Need More Time to Pay My Bill - We want to work with you to avoid service shut-offs, which can lead to reconnection fees and deposits. If you are having difficulty paying your bill, contact us before the expiration of the past due notice.
  • In Person - Pay at one of our conveniently located payment locations.
