San Diego Gas & Electric “SDG&E”, a Sempra Energy utility is currently seeking vendors to pre-qualify for possible turnkey Distributed Generation alternatives to distribution capacity upgrades.
Pre-qualified vendors will be responsible for providing a turnkey distributed generation solution with physical assurance for deferring a distribution wires alternative.
SDG&E will identify the capacity projects where it believes that DG is a viable alternative. Then SDG&E will approach the pre-qualified vendors with the functional requirements for a capacity solution. The pre-qualified vendors will be required to submit their DG alternative including costs, a functional description of requirements which include size, quantity, time reliability, physical assurance, O&M responsibilities and related auxiliary equipment to allow for operations. SDG&E will then compare this solution to its other options and select the solution, which provides the lowest total cost to SDG&E.
SDG&E intends to utilize its contract agreement to procure the solution.
Proposals will only be accepted from pre-qualified vendors and will be evaluated for their functionality, dependability, viability and vendor’s capacity to support the project. Please provide complete and accurate information in order for your company to be considered for pre-qualification.
